With nothing else to do, I am virtually on the Internet (especially Facebook) everyday. Then I got some funny observation about my FB account.
  1. I don't post status; I am almost unnoticible.
  2. Take a look in my profile and you will see mostly my gaming status, which is quite redundant.
  3. TONS of requests - again about the games
  4. All photos of me were not posted by me, I just so happened to be tagged.
  5. In most of the photos, I would be appearing at the side. This shows only 1 thing, I don't like to take photos.
  6. The photos are either graduation night photos or guides photos.
Don't expect any of my portraits to appear cause I am just not into 自恋照 (posing and taking photos of yourself by yourself).

2 weeks after exams and my brain feeling that is rusting. Yea, 2 weeks of doing nothing constructive has finally taken toll on my brain.

In another words I am BORED...

Maybe I should get a job, but heh - I am lazy.

With so much time at hand, I can finish 1 series of anime in 2 days, caught up with all manga that I am following - even those that I started reading recently. I am even considering re-reading some manga.

Ok I must go to the library and borrow some books to read...

FREEDOM !!!

  • Nov. 13th, 2009 at 4:23 PM
Yes its finally all over. I am so happy =P

No more mugging for 'O' levels, no more textbooks, note, worksheets and TYS-es.

On Tuesday I had chinese P1 and P2. Yup its the second time I took the exam, got B3 in the first try but I wanted an A. Even A2 would be good enough. The P1 is easier this time round and the question is more straight forward. P2 is slightly harder as there are a lot of inference question.

P1 of physic was easy, which means good news.

Nobody expected this year's Biology P1 to be this difficult... A lot of questions were not seen before and past year's P1 was quite easy. This year was definitely a surprise.

And today's paper was chemistry P1, not too difficult and not to easy, just nice. Bound to be a few mistake here and there but till forgivable.

Oh did I mention how happy I was when its over?

Currently at Yan Ting's house, using her laptop to type this. Before this my friends (Yan Ting, sarah, Zawanah and Diana) and I played nitendo wii - sports was boring, band heroes(or something like that) was fun and rabbits game was plain wacky. Right now the rest of the people are having a "prison break marathon" while I am obviously typing this.

Oh before I forget (thanks Zawanah for reminding me XD), while we were walking to the MRT along the shops, Diana saw a cockroach and warned Zawanah. In response, she jumped around to avoid it and screamed. Tough luck for the cockroach but while jumping around Zawanah STEPPED it. Its death came with a crack and its head and wings was separated from its body. Poor guy. Well at least it was a one shot kill and its death was swift. After this was more screaming from Zawanah and looks from the people around the scene. Of course we were laughing all the way to the MRT station.

Argh I am so tired now cause I didn't sleep well last night. I really look forward to the rest of the days to come, especially on graduation night.

So the weekend is going to be over *sighs for very long*
At least I got a few things done over the days.

For starters, the humanities and sciences' paper 2 are all over :)
I got only 2 words for social studies: Good Game. As for geography, I am happy that I studied and memorised like crazy during the short 4 hours before the paper.

Some chemistry questions are tricky so I made some blunders here and there, so not much damage done - I think.
Luckily physics was easier than last year's paper. Its kind of expected caused looking from the fact that half the cohort failed the paper last year, they definitely will make it easier this year.
And finally, Biology = easy. I think I made some mistakes in spelling...

Ever since my laptop crashed last week, I was very pissed and had to use my brothers' desktop/laptop which they DID NOT gladly lend it to me. Yea had to format the whole thing, which brought my laptop all the way back to year I got my laptop which was in 2005. Worst still, it doesn't come with factory settings.
Well at least I can boot the OS now, but I can do nothing then and had to reinstall everything. After installing my network card and FINALLY able to go into the internet (I LOVE YOU INTERNET! <3), yup I had to do 4 years' worth of patching.... Gosh this is going to be very long.

Finally the first week of 'o' levels is over.

I can't believe that in this week of maths papers, I had made many mistakes.
Most of the mistakes are so stupid, that its unforgivable that I made them.
For example I forgot th\o multiply the whole equation....
And whole still I cannot do a question because I misread the information. After my friend pointed it out, it hit me like a ton of bricks... cause the thing is - I KNOW HOW TO DO THAT QUESTION.
AND ITS A DAMNED 11 MARKS QUESTION!!!

Just because of my "sotong-ness", I lost like about 30+ marks in the a-maths paper.
That is only for the mistakes I am aware of.... of course there are more in my paper.

There goes my A....

With the maths and english paper done, next 2 weeks will be science and humanities.

For my sciences, I am quite ok with chemistry and physics. Just need to memorise my biology textbook and I am good to go.

As for humanities... Lets just say one of my foot is already in the grave.

*sighs*

Very depressing indeed...

WAHHHHH!!!

  • Oct. 29th, 2009 at 10:01 PM
Argh so pissed with myself that I have decided to actually blog about this.

So dumb... Just lost 6 marks in my 'o'levels amaths paper 1.
and its all due to a single careless mistake.

Argh feel like banging my head against the wall...

And also I lost 5 marks cause I dont know what the question is asking.

Wah 11 marks leh...

My A gone already liao.......

Begining of the end?

  • Sep. 22nd, 2009 at 6:52 PM
Finally he last day of prelims. Yessss....

Even with that I am still not able to relax. 1 more month to 'o' levels and I am still not ready for it.

Yeah the only thing I am ready for is my impending doom...

Yes I am ready to see that my L1R5 is more than 20.
Yes I am ready to go for Parent-Teacher meeting (again).
Yes I am ready to go to school everyday and stay back, right up to the day where exam starts.
And finally yes, I am willing to mug very hard.

How do I know that? I have premonition (haha).

Anyway I had change the theme and added a profile pic (so cute).

34 days to doom....

change

  • Jul. 25th, 2009 at 11:43 PM
Since its supposedly summer, I have change the theme so that will have this summer feel.
although there is no distinct seasons in Singapore, its still fun to get in the mood.

Won't be posting for a very long time cause prelims will be in a few weeks time and 'o' levels.
Anyway i got nothing to post about.

Predicament

  • Jun. 8th, 2009 at 8:54 PM

Ah crap what a disaster..

The pipe in my house is spoil, so the water was flowing out like crazy. In 15 mins, 3 and a half container had been filled. Tch, I had to do 'damage control' so I have to transfer the water from the overflowing container to an empty one...

Tried to called my dad and ask him what to do but fate decides to torture me so his phone was not on... I spammed so many calls that I am totally sick with the stupid answering machine, just feel like throwing my phone on the ground...

Luckily my mum when to seek help from my neighbour and turned off the main water pipe. It seems that there is something wrong with the tap itself. Now my mum has gone to buy a new tap, hope that that will solve the problem...

Until now I still haven't finish all the homework that has to be pass up tomorrow. I am such a gone case....

Tomorrow my dad is going to get a hell of a nagging from my mum....

Testimonials

  • Jun. 2nd, 2009 at 9:41 PM

It seems that I can never find a day where I can slack around and do nothing at all. Tomorrow I need to hand up the CCA testimonial which we have took sooo long to finish. I mean who find time during the examination period to think about what you have done in your CCA and also to 'reflect' on your character?

I have always hated writing testimonials, cause I don't really like to reflect. Haha. I feel its like boasting yourself in writing, saying that " Hey look! I am very responsible as I blah blah blah... I have the best personality in the world!" But maybe cause I quite humble so I find it difficult to even write them. Ha, I even remember some teacher told the class not be shy and humble when writing the testimonial, be as boastful as you want. After all a testimonial will be given together with the 'o' level certificate in a graduation book. They are also very important if you wan to appeal into your choice of school.

I don't like writing testimonials because:

  1. Its boastful.
  2. I don't much to show-off anyway.
  3. I didn't really win any award in my whole secondary life. Well except during sec 1 where I got distinction in NSW Science competition. Nothing else.
  4. My CCA achievements are insignificant... Its 'participation' for all competitions.
  5. I hate reflecting.
  6. It just shows how lousy your character is when you have nothing to write.
Funny thing is that when it comes to the ranking /appointment, I will write more that anyone else....
My ranking is a Patrol Leader.
My appointment is being a CIP Leader, secretary, Sec 2 trainer and by some weird twist of chance, the commander of the company.
Right, so I have 5 roles....

There is a chinese saying, "当局者迷,旁观者清". It means that the by-stander sees the situation most clearly. So how can we determine our our own characters if we don't know see clearly?

Over and gone

  • Jun. 1st, 2009 at 9:27 PM

Yes, the mid-year 'o' level written paper is finally OVER...
I finished the paper 1 and 2 today. It doesn't look that hard but I think my paper 1 essay write out-of-point.
Sure cannot get A....

Great. Just when I was slacking and surfing the net, somebody told me we had physics homework on the LMS and the due time is today at 11.55pm. which leaves me around 2hr 20mins to think of 3 experiments...

Better continue cracking my brain...

May. 19th, 2009

  • 9:53 PM

I would like to thank the sec 4 guides for celebrating my birthday today even though its like 12 days late =]

Anyway today I went to Carina's house to 'celebrate my birthday'. Although its kind of weird to celebrate your birthday in other people's house instead of your own, I guess its better than nothing... We ate lunch (spaghetti) while watching Open Season 2. It so nice to have cable TV and an entertainment room... After that we went to play some games starting with UNO. The game lasted super long and I was the last to finish the game but didn't lose=] Later we watched another 2 movies and finished somewhere around 6.30pm.

Reached home at about 7.30pm and noticed that there was a floor party being held at the lift lobby. Funny thing is that it was suppose to start at 7.00pm and it was going to be 7.30 and they are just setting up the place. Of course the lobby is empty. Then later got 1 guy came to my house to invite us to join the 'party'. I went to the lobby with my mum later to find the place crowded with people. That was expected since the lift lobby wasn't that big and people from the 9th and 10th floor are invited. Later I was suddenly dragged into a photo taking session. Right...After that I quickly went back to my house cause I don't see the point of staying. I suggest next time they do it at the void deck and invite the residence of the whole block. More space and get things done at one shot.

Sian... tomorrow got school any I am sure we will get back some papers. Arggh I don't wan to know my results... Since 'O' level chinese is near, in fact too near for comfort, 1 June. There will be MT intensive revision starting on this Friday. I guess we will be doing a lot of test papers...

Oral Examination

  • May. 8th, 2009 at 9:44 PM

Today's oral examination, as expected, was horrible...
First up was chinese. The passage given was not that difficult and I got some words I can't read. My reading was not smooth and I stammered [totally expected]. Then my conversation was horrible also. 1 sentence answer for 1 question...
Next was English. Had to wait for a long time for my turn to come. Mrs Wong said that my reading was monotonous and my conversation was very boring. Since the conversation topic was on a museum trip and I had limited experience in it, I decided to cut short my misery by saying some stuff and end it quickly. Later I was given a lecture on how lousy my conversation was and how to improve it. She said I could say something like not being interested in arts and prefer something else and talk about it... But wouldn't it be out of point?

In short, I hate oral examinations....

Birthday

  • May. 7th, 2009 at 9:14 PM
Although today is my birthday, I have got to say that today is a crappy day and so far the worst birthday I have...

To start the day with, I slightly overslept and was almost late for school. Of course I had to take a taxi but on my way towards the road I saw many taxis passed by but while I was waiting, none came...eventually 1 came and I managed to get to school on time.

Next thing is that I have 3 papers today, A-maths and 2 Physics papers. For A-maths, I have decided to give up before the paper already since I really suck at it. However the paper is quite "do-able" and I wasn't able do questions with logarithm, exponential and trigo... as usual stuff that I can't do. Physics paper 1 is ok, since its MCQ and I forgot some of the formula only. Hell came in 16 pages of A4 size paper, Physics paper 2. It was a very tough paper and I do not have any answers that I am dead sure its correct... In fact I don't even have the confidence that I will pass that paper. Argh gone case already lar. Physics is my strongest science subject and with that paper, my A just instantly flew out the window. I had my papers until 2 pm. Its so late and I was hungry...

But hey, since tomorrow is for oral examination and a Friday, I slacked during the whole afternoon reading a book, not textbook.

Ok enough of rants already... I just hope that tomorrow will go well and I would get a hard oral topic, get stumped by it and start stammering like an idiot mumbling incoherent sentences. Especially in Chinese.

Shocking

  • Apr. 25th, 2009 at 9:31 PM
I was really bored so I went to surf the net. Went to checkout my primary school's website [which is LianHua Primary School]. It is pretty well designed, very colourful. But the I found out that the CCA I was in when I was in primary school, which is brownies, had actually close down...
Oh the horrors... I can't believe it, the company actually closed down. That is why when Guides sent out invitations for the heritage trail for brownies, they didn't reply. I am so disappointed...
Anyway I have decided to go back to the school on its Open house to look at the changes. Ah it has been three years already and I only went back once during Teacher's Day when I was sec 1... Maybe I will grab Gabrielle to come along with me, cause her mom is one of the teachers. Can't wait for it....

What I'm doing now

  • Apr. 22nd, 2009 at 3:11 PM
hehe I am currently in the school's computer lab typing this entry. I am suppose to do some research on my given English oral topic but I breaking the rule by blogging... Haha

My topic is on hairdressing experience and there is nothing I can research on since its a personal response type of question. Arggh how?! Must pass up both the research and personal response on Friday and the next Monday....

Ah, I feel so guilty right now...
Ok I should go back to "doing research " on my oral topic..

Windows Live Writer

  • Apr. 20th, 2009 at 4:52 PM

This is the first ever post written on the windows live writer then published onto the blog… I wonder if it would work… Oh well, I just have to wait and see.

Its quite cool actually. I am able to see and use most of the functions available and the best part is of course the spelling check. Cause I am really lousy in spelling so the red squiggly line is really useful. If I am not wrong, you could your post and save it in a draft first and be posted on the blog later. But I haven’t tried it yet so I am not that sure.

The disadvantage is that I cannot really make full use of Livejournal’s functions; like the moods and I can’t change the timings of my blog hehe….

This is my last year in Swiss Cottage so this cross country will be my last also. Many incidents happened today which made me realised a lot of stuff.
I was really glad that Sarah's dad could pick me up, if not I would have to wake up very early. For that I am really grateful. Nothing interesting happened while we wait for the teachers' instructions. Before the run started, the teachers had to take attendance, collect our wallets and our bags, while expecting the students to sit on a wet grass patch with ants and all kind of insects running around. So we squadded down. I was having a miserable time as I cannot squad down for too long (that was I can't do duckwalk, a punishment, in guides).
And finally the run began and soon it was B division girls' turn. We made our way to the starting line and did some warm-up. I was bored so I looked around. I saw a group of girls who were listening to music via their handphone. They are not suppose to bring their handphone but there is nothing I could say since they still brought it. But the most disturbing part has yet to come... They actually hid their handphones under their shirt (I am not going to say it in details but you should know what I meant). Are they stupid or something? If they were so afraid of getting their phone confiscated, then don't bring it. Simple. Ok enough of that. I am grateful that Yan Yan accompanied me throughout the whole run. If she wasn't their I think I would just walk the whole way and be the last few.
After the run was the prize presentation. I was totally amazed that quite a number of guides made it to the top 20 in both divisions. Wahh.... So proud of guides =) Aunty Agnes was like the most pro among the sec 4 guides...13th position leh, unexpected. Congrats to blue house on being the first runner-up of the cross country. ~Yeah go blue house!!! woots~
When the cross country ended, Sarah, Diana, Gabrielle, Hannah and I took bus 52 and went to IMM for lunch. I realised that there were not many low-cost lunch available for muslims. Oh I manage to record a small section of Gabrielle and Hannah's conversation on the way to Jurong MRT station. Yes I have their voices recorded...Haha.
So I went back home and slack. I had to drink my mum's new creation; papaya + banana + yogurt blended together (erm...banana papaya yogurt shake?) Trust me it tasted super weird...

CD Period

  • Apr. 7th, 2009 at 7:42 PM

We were suppose to do a presentation of virus on Mondays and well because of someone, we had to present it today. As usual I would stutter during presentation but never mind about those. Since the main topic was about malware, being a computer noob, learned a lot from the presentations. However all the information presented really freaked me out.

One of the symptoms of spyware is slowing down of processing speed....Oh no...
Yes my computer has been slowing down and I have uninstalled my anti-virus softwares three times, because they lag my computer. Oh my goodness...has my computer been affected with spyware?! NOOOO~
Ok I must get my hands on a better anti-virus software...

So who says that you can't learn anything form character development (CD) lessons?

What a day...

  • Apr. 6th, 2009 at 6:24 PM
with such tittle, obviously the day had started off really bad.

First of all, the bus came really late although I went to the bus stop early. Then I waited for the bus for a very long time... It only came at about 7.01am, which was pretty late already. But the bus had to be super crowded and time was wasted as we wait for people to make space for everyone to board the bus. Ended up almost being late...
The rest of day went by uneventfully until someone said something stupid to the teacher and everyone have to present our research tomorrow. I am so doomed, didn't even start and I haven't finish my homework. Arggh....
Ok better stop ranting about my day and start working
